This is Ross Grittner from MouseArea.com today I’ve got the chance to review a bestseller from Razer. I’ve been very excited to review about this amazing Razer Taipan Ambidextrous gaming mouse the hole day today. And it’s without a doubt the best gaming mouse I have tested!
After testing the Razer Taipan, I was amazed. The mouse is really one of the best gaming mice, if not the best available right now, that razer has to offer. It is very underrated and even though worth the 70 dollars it cost. If you compare it to the about 60 dollar DeathAdder Chroma 2013, I would without a doubt pick this any day.
When I played CS:GO with this gaming mouse it was amazing. This mouse is perfect for FPS gaming just make sure you deactivate the right side mouse buttons so you don’t hit it unintentionally, which I did a lot while I was playing. I personally mean that the only weakness to the Taipan is that it does not weight enough for some people but personally I love it a lot. You also can’t change the color of the lights on it but that doesn’t matter to me.
The overall size and shape is particularly similar. The one thing I don’t like about the shape is the blaze outs by the palm of the hand. I know that’s isn’t dramatic and after few hours I got actually used to it, but every once in a while when I’m trying to wrist turn my mouse I feel the flare outs bump into the palm of my hand which can be very annoying with the time. The last thing I don’t like about this mouse is its support on the Razer Synapse software which needs registration to use the gaming mouse, and I pretty much hate that. I don’t like that I have to register and sign in just to use my gaming mouse settings. And I’m pretty sure, that no one likes that either. They could Really learn something from Roccat.
I could seriously use the mouse for hours and hours and feel no hand exhaustion or discomfort at all. It is the most relaxed and responsive mouse I’ve ever tested here at MouseArea.com. It slides along buttery smooth and feels perfect in my very big hand
As you guys already know this is an ambidextrous gaming mouse with buttons on both the left and right side that you can easily customize. I’m right handed and I’ve had no problems with the buttons on the right. They don’t get in the way and I’ve at no time unintentionally clicked on the right side buttons.
