I was in a similar situation last year and had to work out something to help augment the money that I make from my day job Just like you have possibly done, I went to the internet, and began surfing on how to earn money on the internet I suspect I must have read through at least fifty different articles on the topic, purchased a few eBooks that guaranteed I’d make Thousands upon Thousands of dollars following the writers system for making money Although I gained some discernment to how things work on the web through this research, it was not until I turned to freelance writing that I began to make decent money to help with my bills

What exactly Is freelance Writing?

So, you can ask yourself, what the heck is freelance writing? Well, theFreeDictionary com states that the definition of freelance is :

1 – Someone who sells services to employers without a long term dedication to any of them

2 – An uncommitted independent, as in politics or social life

3 – A medieval mercenary

This definition doesn’t quite paint the picture properly though A better one is a freelance writer is a writer who is paid per article or piece of work on either a per article or per-word basis Some folk turn to freelance writing as a method to telecommute without the rigidity of office hours associated with a more conventional day job There is always a robust demand for freelance writers from websites, corporations, companies, and other writers even! Many times companies will find that its cheaper to reduce a technical writing staff to repeat editors and hire freelancers to supply the content on a demand-basis The establishment saves the cash on having to pay for unemployment insurance, social security, medicare, and so forth , but does not have final control over the freelancer producing the work The beauty with modern-day freelance-writing is that you can live in say Tennessee ( where I live ), and write for companies found in California, Pennsylvania, and the U K ( I do ) without ever going to the organization’s site!

Before making a decision that freelance writing is the solution to all your issues, you have to realize that there’s no such thing as a Web Money Tree! You will have to work and allocate a lot of your sparetime in order to make a monetary difference in your life by freelance writing It took me about 2 months to start making a money dent in my bills when I started, so I decided to help others out, I might pass along bits that I’ve learned while freelance writing and web publishing
